Eastman School of Dance, established in 1969, teaches dance instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, & musical theater. ESOD offers both recreational & competitive dance from ages 3- adult, to all levels of dance. All classes are taught by adult, professional staff.  

ESOD is open for registration, for our 2023-24 dance year.  Our  teams are currently in summer session & our recreational classes will begin in September. Our teams attended both CRU & Bloom dance competitions this year. At CRU, many of our dancers were invited to join several national companies, received overall awards, judges' choice awards & one of our faculty members was named the Standout Teacher of the Chicago regional.  At Bloom, our Primary Team won 1st & 2nd overall high scoring small groups & our Junior Team won 1st & 5th overall high scoring small groups. Senior Team received 3rd, 8th, & 9th overall high scoring large groups. Junior Team won Best in Performance, for the entire junior division. Senior Team won Platinum, for every single group dance that hit the competition stage.  The ESOD team won the Excellence in Sportsmanship award, for being kind to their fellow peers & studios & showing respect & kindness to the competition staff. This was the first time ESOD attended both of these competitions. We are very proud of their hard work & dedication!
